Bachelor and Master Timetable for the 2019/2020 Winter Semester

The winter semester is from September 23, 2019, to February 16, 2020. Classes start on September 23, 2019, the first week is odd. The examination period is from January 6 to February 15, 2020. The final state examinations are within the period of February 3–14, 2020. For evaluations of the claim to the merit scholarship for the winter semester, the study results stored in the KOS on the date of evaluation are included, i.e. until mid-March 2020.

Instruction Period

Classes are in 13 instruction weeks: from September 23 to December 19, 2019. Students have to obtain winter semester assessments by the end of the instruction period, i.e. until December 19, 2019. Course guarantors may extend this deadline for their courses, but no later than by the end of the examination period, i.e. until February 15, 2020.

Examination Period

An examination period lasts 6 weeks. Winter semester exams can be taken by the end of the winter semester, i.e. until February 15, 2020. Course guarantors may announce dates for taking their exams in the summer semester, but no later than the end of the summer semester examination period, i.e. until June 27, 2020.

Days off and Vacation

The Dean’s Day is announced on December 20, 2019, and winter holidays are before the examination period, within the period of December 23, 2019 – January 5, 2020. On October 28, 2019, classes are cancelled due to a public holiday.

Winter holidays

Final State Examinations

Only students who meet the deadlines can take final state examinations in the winter semester. If students do not manage to submit their final theses in due time, they may submit them by the end of the examination period, i.e. until February 14, 2020. However, these students cannot take the FSEs before the next semester.
