Logic Colloquium 2019

Logic Colloquium 2019

On August 11–16, the Faculty of Information Technology organises Logic Colloquium 2019 together with Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. This forum for presenting and discussing the new developments in the area of logic is the European Summer Meeting of the Association for Symbolic Logic. The conference begins on August 11 with a public lecture by Hannes Leitgeb, which is intended for the general public.

Topic

Logic is an ancient discipline that has undergone striking modern developments through the introduction of formal methods, stimulated largely by foundational problems in mathematics. Recent research in other areas such as computer science, linguistics, and cognitive science has also been inspired by logic, and the Logic Colloquium reflects such expanding interests.

The conference provides a forum for presenting and discussing the new developments in the area of logic, including mathematical logic, computer science logic and philosophical logic.

Program

The Logic Colloquium 2019 host thirteen plenary talks, six invited session talks, and seven contributed sessions of talks. The conference begins on the afternoon of Sunday, August 11, with a public lecture by Hannes Leitgeb, which is a joint event with the CLMPST and is intended for the general public.
