The Department of Applied Mathematics (DAM) is the second youngest department at FIT. We are responsible for compulsory courses, such as Mathematical Analysis and Linear Algebra, as well as many electives and courses that are part of the Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Engineering specializations. In the department, we do science in many fields: from mathematical analysis, statistics, and mathematical logic to combinatorics, theoretical computer science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
