Bachelor and Master Timetable for the Summer Semester 2017/2018

The summer semester is from February 19 to September 30, 2018. Classes start on February 19, 2018, the first week is even. The examination period is from May 21 to July 1, 2018. The bachelor final state examinations are within the period of June 18–29, 2018 and the master ones are within the period of June 11–15, 2018. For evaluations of the claim to the merit scholarship for the summer semester, the study results stored in the KOS on the date of evaluation are included, i.e. until mid-November 2018.

Instruction Period

Classes are in 13 instruction weeks: from February 19 to May 20, 2018. Students have to obtain summer semester assessments by the end of the instruction period, i.e. until May 20. 2018. Course guarantors may extend this deadline for their courses, but no later than by the end of the examination period, i.e. until July 1, 2018.

Examination Period

An examination period lasts 6 weeks. Summer semester exams can be taken by the end of the summer semester examination period, i.e. until July 1, 2018.

Days off and Vacation

During the instruction period, classes are canceled due to public holidays. Rector’s Day is announced on May 16, 2018 and summer holidays are within the period of July 2 – September 2, 2018.

Summer holidays

Final State Examinations

Only students who meet the deadlines can take final state examinations in the summer semester. If students don’t manage to submit their final theses in due time, they may submit them by the end of the examination period, i.e. until July 1, 2018. However, these students cannot take the FSEs before the next semester.
