Bachelor and Master Timetable for the Summer Semester 2016/2017

The summer semester is from February 20 to September 30, 2017. Classes start on February 20, 2017, the first week is even. The examination period is from May 22 to June 30, 2017. The bachelor final state examinations are within the period of June 19–30, 2017 and the master ones are within the period of June 12–16, 2017. For evaluations of the claim to the merit scholarship for the summer semester, the study results stored in the KOS on the date of evaluation are included, i.e. until mid-November 2017.

Instruction Period

Classes are in 13 instruction weeks: from February 20 to May 20, 2017. Students have to obtain summer semester assessments by the end of the instruction period, i.e. until May 20. 2017. Course guarantors may extend this deadline for their courses, but no later than by the end of the examination period, i.e. until June 30, 2017.

Examination Period

An examination period lasts 6 weeks. Summer semester exams can be taken by the end of the summer semester examination period, i.e. until June 30, 2017.

Days off and Vacation

During the instruction period, classes are canceled due to public holidays. Rector’s Day is announced on May 17, 2017 and summer holidays are within the period of July 3 – September 3, 2017.

Summer holidays

Final State Examinations

Only students who meet the deadlines can take final state examinations in the summer semester. If students don’t manage to submit their final theses in due time, they may submit them by the end of the examination period, i.e. until June 30, 2017. However, these students cannot take the FSEs before the next semester.
