Summer StringMasters Prague 2017

Within the period of August 31 and September 2, the 31st international scientific meeting Summer StringMasters Prague 2017 will be held at the Faculty of Information Technology of CTU. The topics are various stringology disciplines. Participation is free of charge, but you need to register. This year, six meetings already took place at universities in France, South Africa, Mauritius, Canada, Poland, and the USA.

Topic

The international workshop StringMasters deals with various topics of stringology. The main aim is to bring together researchers at all levels (senior scientists, Ph.D. students, and graduate students). The topic of the meeting is various stringology disciplines such as indexing, data compression, bioinformatics or automata theory.

Program

The workshop does not have a fixed program, it is an informal meeting. Participants form spontaneously working groups to tackle the problems presented. So participants are encouraged to come to the meeting equipped with problems and interesting questions. There are usually 20–30 participants attending the meeting. For this year, eleven foreign experts and prof. Jan Holub and Ing. Ondřej Guth, Ph.D., from our faculty, confirmed their participation.
