Anotace přednášky

Aldebaran Robotics, leader in humanoid robotics, designs and assembles the fourth version of NAO, NAO NEXT GEN, released early this year, from its headquarters in Paris. The company sold as of today more than 2000 NAO humanoid robots to more than 350 of the most prestigious research institutes and universities worldwide, reinvesting most of its  evenues in research and development, aiming at increasing its product range with NAO's big brother, ROMEO. Michael Laurac, area sales manager for Central and Eastern Europe at Aldebaran Robotics will be unraveling the secret of the NAO's H25 humanoid robotic mechatronic platform and will be giving additional focus on the programming software suite, optimized for the rapid implementation of state-of-the-art research projects in service robotics and ideal for the introduction of robotics into the world of academia.

The presenter will bring the NAO NEXT GEN H25 Robot hardware to show what NAO is capable of and will demonstrate some of the principles behind the software suite through tools such as Choregraphe, Monitor, and NAO Sim as well as programming languages such as Python and C++.

Informace o přednášejícím

Michael Laurac, Area Sales Manager EMEA at Aldbaran Robotics joined the company in February of this year. With a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Aalborg, Denmark and a Diploma of Engineering from the ESIEE Electronics and Electrotechnics Superior School of Engineering School near Paris, he worked 7 years as Clinical Support and Training Engineer, Clinical Specialist, Product Manager and Area Sales Manager in the field of cochlear implant doing field based business with university hospitals for an American and a French company before making the decision to step into the field of humanoid robotics doing business with universities and research institutes.
